Meet Our People

We are a friendly group. Our humble leaders have been volunteering in their communities for many years, and they bring with them the ability to lead and to inspire without condescension or hidden agendas.

With over 50 years of volunteer experience among them, our leaders provide Women in Worship Ministries with the inspiration and direction to keep it going and growing.

Nan Butler Roberts, B.S., M.A.

Founder, C.E.O.

Bio: Nan Butler Roberts began her Christian walk at an early age in a small, rural community in Virginia.  She credits her mother with teaching her to pray and taking her to Sunday School at an early age.  Nan is grateful to the "mothers" of the church who nurtured her and encouraged her as a young child to keep her hand in God's hand.  Nan's mother, Dorothy, always gave Nan opportunities to praise the Lord through song and spoken word.  Nan remembers singing at an early age on talent programs throughout the community.  Music has always been central to Nan's life through childhood, school and youth choirs and her college choir at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.  After college, Nan began playing for the youth choir at her home church, moved on to play for other local churches and sang with a women's quartet group for approximately 10 years.  Nan is a surrogate mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and godmother to 4, including a set of triplets!  Her husband Howard of 18 years passed away in 2013. Nan is very close to her younger sister, Doretha's family including her husband, Michael, nephew, Taylor and niece, Sade`, who live outside of Atlanta, GA.  Nan has been involved in music, youth and women's ministries for many years and looks forward to higher and higher heights in Kingdom building.
